Singapore Management University (SMU). In 1997, the federal government of Singapore started considering organising a third college in Singapore. In 2000, SMU made its first house at the previous Raffles College (now the National University of Singapore‘s Bukit Timah campus) on Evans Road near Hwa Chong Institution. The college is organised into eight faculties: School of Accountancy, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Economics, School of Computing and data Systems, Yong Pung How School of Law, School of Social Sciences, College of Integrative Studies and the College of Graduate Research Studies. The College of Integrative Studies (CIS) was formed in 2021 for interdisciplinary and integrative educating and research. SMU is ranked No. 36 in the QS Business and Management Studies Subject, No. Forty nine within the QS Accounting Subject, No. 60 within the QS Economics Subject, No. 68 within the QS Social Sciences and Management Subject and No. Ninety five band within the QS Law and Legal Studies topic. After that, SMU moved from its Bukit Timah campus to its present campus in the Bugis-Bras Basah district.
