With a ardour for numbers and finance, Jib ventured into the funding sector at MSIG Service and Adjusting Company. She graduated from American University’s School of International Service with a level in International Relations, focusing her research on environmental justice. Isabella was previously an assistant professor of Women’s Studies and has taught at Fordham University, Cooper Union, and Antioch College. Carly has consulting experience with the US Department of State and various nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC, conducting analysis on women’s environmental management within the face of climate change. She helped set up the first world Women and Rivers Congress in 2019. In the past, she worked on wildlife dialog schooling and local weather change motion building. The work is on the safety and restoration of rivers ecosystems and rights of native communities. Guneet is a legal practitioner and researcher with a concentrate on international human rights law. Her space of experience is in enterprise and human rights. Since joining International Rivers, Josh has led profitable efforts to usher the World Bank out of the enterprise of funding dams and has helped forestall the Green Climate Fund from bankrolling hydropower. Rivers are a lifeline to virtually a quarter of the worlds inhabitants here, it is crucial we improve the efforts to maintain them protected.
With Josh, Isabella co-leads International Rivers. Josh co-leads the administration of International Rivers’ strategy, programs, operations, and finances. Sandie works at the intersection of operations, administration, human assets and finance. For the final 10 years, she has helped nonprofits strategize to higher realize their missions and has held leadership positions in fundraising, communications, operations, and management. For over twenty years, Tanya has been a part of civil society teams advocating on labor, women’s, environmental, climate, energy, useful resource and water justice issues, including in Canada, USA, Philippines, Thailand, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Nepal and Palestine. Over the course of the final 19 years, he has labored for a variety of companies and INGOs. Before becoming a member of International Rivers Sandie labored in human resources at a crusing club and college within the San Francisco Bay Area. Each member of our group brings a novel background and skill set to the work of river protection and human rights.
From 2019-2023, he served on the advisory board for the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and as a member of the Human and Elephant Conflict Commission for the House of Representatives in Thailand. He has 19 years of skilled expertise in accounting and compliance, assurance and advisory across various industries and has labored at Ernst and Young and KPMG. Previous to becoming a member of International Rivers, Sanita labored on the Research and Development Center at a global University in Bangkok. Prior to becoming a member of International Rivers, she led analysis on the gendered impacts of environmental harm in Southeast Asia. Along with her work for International Rivers, Guneet is engaged on her PhD analysis at Humboldt University, Berlin. Prior to becoming a member of International Rivers, Rin worked intently with people’s networks in Thailand, including these impacted by the Rasi Salai dam and Assembly of the Poor. Rin has a bachelor’s diploma in Community Development and a Master’s diploma in Development Management and Governance. Rin works with neighborhood and civil society networks in Thailand to guard the Mekong River and advocate for higher accountability of buyers in hydropower within the Mekong region. Maureen works with people’s movements and civil society partners to guard very important transboundary rivers within the area from destructive dams and different developments.
Josh previously led the Africa Program at the Bank Information Center the place he ran campaigns with local partners to problem destructive tasks financed by improvement banks. Monti works as part of International Rivers’ Latin America program to assist native movements for the safety of rivers and to develop strategies for legally protecting rivers permanently. Sanita offers administrative, financial, and applications management assist for the implementation of the Southeast Asia Program’s work in Thailand. He has helped bridge grassroots movements world wide to influence policy developments on the UN’S FAO and in understanding China’s infrastructure work alongside the Belt & Road Initiative. Ayesha is fiercely obsessed with work on gender and micro hydropower. Isadora previously coordinated public relations and communications for multinational firms and executives. She graduated in Social Communication (Journalism) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and holds two submit-graduate degrees in Communication Management in Digital Media (Senac) and Organizational Communications and Public Relations from USP. Somsak holds a master’s diploma in environmental science from Murdoch University, Western Australia. Jib holds a bachelor’s diploma in accounting from Kasetsart University. Monti has a Bachelor’s diploma in Anthropology and a Master’s degree from New York University in Environmental Education and Conservation.
