Founded in 1984 by the late De La Salle Brother Joseph McNally – a visionary artist and educator – LASALLE has written, developed and delivered its own tutorial programmes since 2004, and continues to do in order a founding member of the University of the Arts Singapore alliance. Singapore, 21 October 2024 – Starting January 2025, students from LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) can be ready to apply for internships and project work attachments with Arts House Limited (AHL) across its numerous venues, festivals and programmes. Arts House Limited (AHL) is a not-for-revenue organisation dedicated to inspiring and enriching lives through the transformative energy of the arts. UAS is based on an alliance of Singapore’s main arts institutions, LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Located in the heart of the arts and civic district, LASALLE and NAFA are distinguished by unique heritages, robust creative traditions, and revolutionary instructing approaches. NAFA graduates are renowned as creative changemakers, extremely expert, and nicely-rounded in inter-disciplinary approaches who impact various arts and inventive fields in Singapore and abroad. NAFA has nurtured the most number of alumni who were conferred the nation’s highest accolades, with 13 Cultural Medallion and 15 Young Artist Award recipients. Welcoming our first intake in 2024, LASALLE and NAFA will provide bachelor’s and master’s diploma programmes, with levels awarded by UAS. These opportunities are part of a 3-year partnership between AHL and UAS, an alliance of LASALLE and NAFA. All students from bachelor’s and master’s diploma programmes offered by LASALLE and NAFA will probably be eligible to apply, with internships and undertaking work attachments spanning approximately ten weeks from May to August, with a minimal requirement of four hundred hours for successful completion.
Established in 1938, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), founding member of the University of the Arts Singapore, is Singapore’s pioneer and largest arts establishment. The academy is understood for its rigorous and high-high quality curriculum, innovative and practitioners-led instructing approach, diverse artistic creations and group outreach.
